  1. Angie Paccione was chosen to head the Democratic Caucus in the State House. Angie Paccione has won two tough elections. Peggy Lamm left the Legislature after one term. When faced with a tough reelection fight Peggy chose to not run again. Angie chose to stay and fight and won reelection by a good margin in a tough district.
Angie is the best there is. Passionate, smart, tough. Is Labor going to stand with Angie? Is Emily’s List going to back her? If not why not? Will the DCCC help her?

  2. Angie Rocks,

We get it, you like Angie… not everyone does (surprise)

We don’t care that she didn’t get Emily’s List and the world is not supporting her right now.

Pay attention to the other districts because the Dems understand that Musgrave will be very tough to beat, but there are openings in the 7th.

Knock it off and give the rest of us a break will ya?

  3. I’ve said it before, and I will say it again:

Look for Hickenlooper to get in the Governor’s race.

My guess is, it will happen in January.

Also, the regents need to name Hank Brown as the permanent President of CU.  Better President of CU than running for Governor.  Don’t think it could happen?  Think again.

  4. Angie Paccione was selected to run the Democratic Caucus by her colleagues in the State House. Angie Paccione is the best there is. A leader, passionate, smart and tough. Two election wins. Peggy Lamm lacked the courage to run for reelection when faced with a tough opponent. Angie Paccione took on a tough fight and won big.
Is Organized Labor standing with Angie? Is Emily’s List going to raise money for Angie? If not why not? Is the DCCC going to raise money for Angie? Angie correctly feels that she has earned the support of Emily’s List and these other groups. In 2002 the Democratic power brokers thought a minority candidate could not win from ther district. They were wrong than and they are wrong now. Angie is a winner and Angie rocks

  5. Angie Rocks… Why not Angie. You sure like to ask questions that no one can reply too!

Why is the sky blue? Where do babies come from.

Maybe if you donated as much time as you bitched…

  6. Am I the only one who knows that Ed Pearlmutter isn’t Jewish?  He’s a PROMISE KEEPER.  Remember those crazies?  They describe themselves as a “Christian evangelical ministry.”

    http://www.promisekeepers.org/

Freakin’ insane, people.  They marched on Washington a few years back with former CU coach Bill McCartney.  Remember these guys?  WACKO!

  7. Angie Paccione has guts.
Angie Paccione is a proven winner. Peggy Lamm is the next in a long line of Emily’s List promoted losers in this state. Who can forget Gail Schoettler, Dottie Lamm and Josie Heath. Until the Democratic party embraces diversity in deed not just word they will continue to lose. Angie has raised over $200,000 and will have raised more this quarter than Peggy Lamm. In the Legislature Angie is a leader. Angie never sold her integrity and endorsed anti-choice Republicans.

  8. How about it Pols.. will you give these Angie Nutjobs their own thread so we can all succesfully ignore them.

Newsflash here guys, the Angie rants are getting real old.

  9. I suspect that WinningDem and Angie Rocks must be the same person.  I would even hazard a guess that it is Paccione herself trying to blow her own horn, but the only thing she’s really able to do is suck air!

  10. Obviously, WinningDem, Angie Rocks and the other posts are the same person.  By the immaturity level, I’d say a 19 year-old volunteer college sophomore furious with the world and given access to a computer.  Little Girl, if you talk to your boss, she’ll quietly explain that you’re making a laughing stock out of her.  Rule one in flacking for a Democrat is not to trash another Democrat in an unrelated race.  Your constant smears of Peggy Lamm are costing your boss sympathy and money.  Until you grow up and tune in — DROP OUT!

  11. Good Luck to all the Dems Running.

So whatelse is going on in the land of Colorado?

WASHINGTON – After months of resistance, the White House has agreed to accept Sen. John McCain’s call for a law specifically banning cruel, inhuman and degrading treatment of foreign suspects in the war on terror, several congressional officials said Thursday.

    Good for you John!

  12. The Democratic Party talks of diversity.
In 2002 the leaders said Angie could not win.
She won. I know personally that Angie has raised as much this quarter as Peggy Lamm. Unlike Peggy Lamm Angie has never allowed her good name to be used for the benefit of the likes of Bill Owens.
If the Democratic party is serious about diveristy they will unite behind Angie. These claims that she has not raised money are dead wrong. The failure of Emily’s List to back Angie while backing Lamm is in a word hypocritical.

  13. WinningDem & Angie Rocks, Lay off of Lamm & Angie. All I want to see is Democrat controlled Congress. You are not helping Lamm or Angie by going off the handle. Just relax & support the Democrats. Besides, the election is 11 months away Lamm & Angie will be fine.

  14. Do us all a favor and lay off the diversity BS.

You know that it is a load of crap and so do the rest of us.

We can all see that you are using that card as an excuse for why your candidate doesn’t have the support that you think she should and it is pretty pathetic.

You are doing me a pretty good favor trashing your own candidate.  MM will sweep Angie with people like you on Angie’s side.  Keep up the good work!

  15. Now there’s a slogan, LoserDem: “Give money to my candidate or I’ll kill you.”
How’s that working out for you?  I kind of liked Angie until I realized she had psychopaths running her campaign.

  16. I haven’t posted for weeks… not much worth commenting on honestly.

But this ridiculous barrage of “I love Angie” and “Angie DESERVES better” is just plain sad!
The person posting obviously never met a comma she liked either…

By the way, is Holtzman still really short?

  17. It is kind of cute how Republicans post under WinningDem so they can talk trash about other Dems while I guess they actually think we are going to buy that this is someone supporting Angie.

    Here let me try!

The Republican Party talks of being Pro-Corporation.  In 2002 the leaders said Marc Holtzman could not help corporations but he just met with the India Chamber of Commerce to show them how he will help move American Jobs to India to help the poor corporations.  I know personally that Marc Holtzman has raised as much this quarter as Bob Beauprez.  Unlike Bob Beauprez, Marc is actually doing something to help corporations while Both Ways Bob just sits by and does nothing.  If the Republican Party is serious about helping corporations they will unite behind Marc. These claims that he has not raised money are dead wrong. The failure of Tancredo, Musgrave and Hefley to back Marc while backing Bob is in a word hypocritical.

  18. Gwen is obviously right that WinningDem and Angie Rocks are the same person, the hysterical tone and viperative attacks on other Democrats prove that.  But doesn’t the shriking incoherence remind you of the rah-rah Morgan Carroll for Governor blitz of a few weeks ago?  Has the Wacko-in-Residence moved from embarrassing Morgan Carroll to afflicting Angie Paccione with her so-called “support.”  If Angie has friends like that, Musgrave can sleep soundly.

  19. Demanator,

It might be that the White House finally accepted the anti-torture provisions because they just passed the House 308-122 to accept the Senate version including the anti-torture amendment.  90-9 in the Senate and 308-122 in the House = veto-proof majority; better for the WH to cave than to force an override.

And while we’re on the subject, Marilyn Musgrave was one of the 122 who, like Sen. Allard, voted for torture.

  20. I am glad, Thank god we are not moving back in time. Well we are… the right wing is trying to take away a womans right to choose and force Jesus into our life… but hey we are making progress by not killing people for info.,

  21. For my part, I will feel a warm, fuzzy glow the next time al qaeda kills a member of my family, knowing that we didn’t do anything unsportsmanlike in our efforts to stop them.

  22. Why do we have to observe the rules of war and the Geneva Convention when the enemy doesn’t?  I’m not Jewish but I think the addadge “an eye for an eye” applies to war as well as life in general.

  23. What do you suppose the international community would call us if we captured several Al Qaeda members, and showed them on video tape with armed guards standing over them? And then maybe later take a sword and cut off their heads?
If they can do that and we can’t do anything but politely ask non offensive questions, we might as well join the liberals and throw in the towel.

Oh, and let’s not take away a women’s right to abort her baby. Babies are a big inconvienance. I know, my wife had three. Really cut in to our Harley riding time…………….

  24. Right-Wing spin doctor(s)-

You all have WAY too much time on your hands.  While you are in front of the computer playing your wittle games…..Angie is gaining on you.  I would probably be doing everything I could do to trick people if I were a Musgrave supporter too.  Good luck in the real world, because you are certainly going to need it.

  25. Cleophus, I think every Republican in Colorado hopes you throw millions of dollars and thousands of volunteer hours into Angie’s campaign. You’ll lose by 5 points to Musgrave, a tremendous moral victory, and ROD will squeak by in the 7th against an underfunded Lamm or Perlmutter.  But don’t listen to me, I’m a Republican.  Go get Musgrave, Killer!  Sic ’em.
They’re like lambs to the slaughter, Gecko!

  26. KH
The religious left? Who cares. Why do you imply that everyone that is “moral” is religious? I’m about as far from religious as one can get but I consider myself very moral.
I guess I don’t get what you are implying.

  27. Why do we have to observe the rules of war and the Geneva Convention when the enemy doesn’t? I’m not Jewish but I think the addadge “an eye for an eye” applies to war as well as life in general.

Because we aren’t barbarians, and because we at one point and time were trying to stop torture in countries that did still allow it by holding ourselves to a high moral standard.  Now what do we have to hold up in front of countries like Saudi Arabia and Uzbekistan?  A nuke?

This is the same logic that says “bomb Mecca so we can teach those innocent Indonesians that terror doesn’t pay…”

  28. And in other news, the New York Times is reporting about a secret executive order given by President Bush, ordering the NSA to spy on domestic-international telephone calls without any warrants.

They are also reporting that the White House asked them not to print the story – in 2004(!) and the Times complied for a year.

Spying on US Citizens within the country is prohibited without a warrant, and some NSA officers apparently refused to go along with the Presidential order because it appeared to be illegal.

On a related note, it appears that Senator Russ Feingold has gathered together enough votes to sustain a filibuster of the PATRIOT Act renewal/expansion; several Republicans have signed on, making the filibuster a bipartisan action.

  29. Keep dreaming voyaguer, gecko and whoever else the same person is posting under.  Makes me think of someone on their last leg…trying to spread lies and rumors.  Enjoy your Republican congressmen and women while you still have them.  10 1/2 months and counting…..

  30. Demanator-

Thats what is great about America, freedom of the right to voice an opinion.  I am sure Paccione looks forward to making a believer out of you and everyone else….

  31. Demanator-

Thats what is great about America, we all have the freedom to voice an opinion.  I am sure Paccione looks forward to making a believer out of you and everyone else….

  32. Cleophus, what are you talking about? What lies and rumors do you think voyageur or gecko were spreading? You sound ridiculous.  No more press releases.

  33. Yes Cleophus, if the Dimocrats do kick all the Republicans out in the future elections, everything will become just peachy and rosy. There will be no more winter season just spring time. Poverty will end and wars will be a thing of the past.
    Man, I can hardly wait.

Are bikers allowed in this coming fairly tale land??
